When The Going Gets Tough

Ever sit to watch athletes do their thing, especially the relay race? Ever observed their tenacity and guts? Have you ever wondered why they do so much to endure until the very end of the race?
Well, in my early years in life, I had out of curiosity sat to ponder on why they make so many efforts to pass the baton to the other person at the other end of the line and I realized that the reason is the fact that the failure or success of the entire team is dependent on the decisions they make in the middle of their weariness.

There is an old saying that when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Often times, life gives us a billion reason to want to give up on hope, love, family, our aspirations and the society at large but we must realize that just like the unrelenting athletes I mentioned earlier in this article, the success of the entire world is dependent on our decisions in our tough times.

One of my biggest motivations is my belief that tough times do not last but tough people actually do. Often times, when I feel knocked down by life, I pick up myself again because my bible tells me in Hebrews12:1 that I have fans who are cheering me on and whose success stories are totally dependent on mine.

The next time you get tired of circumstances around you, tell yourself that you are stronger than life itself.
